As for yesterday, we spent our time planning our objectives as to what we should achieve this day. But due to some inevitable circumstances, all of our objectives were not met. That’s were back up plans enter. If this plan you’re relying doesn’t work, at least, you won’t come back to square one. Another thing, the team should be flexible enough to adjust, not only on the contacts’ schedule but also on some situations we can’t avoid happening. Well, just reminding and sharing. :D

Dates below will indicate the activities we had as a team.

July 1, 2009

Until this time, we still don’t have a concrete project on our minds. As a team, we have came up with “small time systems”. We have asked for Mr. Roger Gutierrez’s idea as for what software we can develop. He gave us an idea-a good idea actually. It goes like this. The software is intended for doctors and it’s for online appointment or reservation. It is supp0sed to be web-based so that patients will be able to see if the doctor is available at that moment, without going to the hospital themselves.  If the doctor is not available, the secretary will just post “The Doctor is Out.” notice. If any appointment was entered, it will pop out on a PDA used by the doctor. It is an advantage to the patient because it can save their time.

Our group, minus me, had a consultation with Sir James. The systems we had at first were not really that “acceptable” to him, hehe.. They may have been too easy or similar systems already exist. Again, our minds became clouded again. After classes, we decided to inquire MISS about what systems we could possibly do. At least, we already had plans.

After classes, we headed to MISS to inquire, with our hope as big as a hot-air balloon but sadly, Ma’am Joyce was not around to entertain us. It was just like the said hot-air balloon bumped into something and then just exploded. We’re once again back to square one. Though we still have plan B, we relied on plan A. We just decided to go to AUFMC directly, with a letter of endorsement in our hands. WE talked to Mr. Arthur Agustin from the AUFMC-MISS. He suggested numbers of systems we could possibly do. Coming up with a decision as what to take made us really undecided. We weighed each system in terms of our skills. From the numbers of them, we decided to take chance doing Doctor’s Portal. It’s like the one Sir Roger sugested. But if this won’t work, don’t worry, we still have plan B and C. We just can’t afford to  have until Z. :D

Just welcome us.. :D

It’s been three weeks when the school classes began. Another year on our college lives bloomed, another stage on our being professionals started. One year to go and there we’ll go, marching towards our diploma. And yet we still don’t know if we deserve to be called professionals. Three years of stay under our college has been our learning stages as we acquire knowledge and equip ourselves with what we must have. And for our final year, to be able to be called professionals-at least- we must come up with a working system or software. We must integrate whatever idea we have for a brainchild that could “make “or “break” our programming careers. (haha..) Anyways, we only had made up our minds as to what we must do.  What we only hope is to learn as we go on developing our projected system.
